My name is Todd Johnson. My friends call me "TJ". I currently reside in Pennsauken, NJ. My passion for art started at an early age while growing up in Atlantic City, NJ, where I lived until my early twenties.
I attended grade school in the Atlantic City public school system. I did well in most of my school subjects, but always looked forward to art class. I minored in art at Rutgers University (New Brunswick, NJ), but it was not until after graduating with a degree in business, that I began to explore different art mediums such as watercolor, oil, acrylic, digital photography, digital printing and computer-generated art.
I considers myself to be an ongoing art student, always looking to learn new ways of expressing myself artistically. I have learned by reading art books and magazines, surfing the web, studying life & nature, taking advice from the scores of artists I meet and admire, and by continuing to practice my craft.
Just as I love various art mediums, I also respect and use many art styles: abstraction, surrealism, realism, impressionism, as well as digital photography & computer-aided art creation. I truly believe that composition, proper use of style & medium, along with an understanding of the use of color, are all key to creating "conversation worthy" art.
My motto:
“Be a pioneer…travel and navigate terrains to discover, think and better yourself. Never stop learning.”
